Kenneth Branagh returns as Belgian sleuth Hercule Poirot from MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS. The Agatha Christie character is at it again solving a murder mystery in DEATH ON THE NILE with a star-studded cast that includes Gal Gadot, Armie Hammer, Tom Bateman (CHILD'S PLAY), Rose Leslie ("Game of Thrones," "The Good Fight"), Letitia Wright (BLACK PANTHER), Annette Bening, Russell Brand and Sophie Okonedo. Watch the stylish new trailer for the October 23rd theatrical release.
The sexy and daring new murder thriller is filled with beautiful imagery and wardrobe. It has that throwback feel to classic murder mystery with a better backdrop this time. As the title suggest, DEATH ON THE NILE takes place on The River Nile in Egypt. MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS was limiting and claustrophobic but the wider space on DEATH ON THE NILE is more epic.
This time the new preview hints that jealousy may be the motivation for the murder. That definitely adds that novela quality to the drama.
October is also 2 months away so it'll be interesting to see if it stays on the date given the ongoing pandemic.
