Quentin Tarantino Wants Your DJANGO UNCHAINED-Inspired Artwork

Have your artwork judged by Quentin Tarantino for a chance to inspire and meet the DJANGO UNCHAINED writer/director in a new contest sponsored by The Weinstein Company and Red Bull.
Hollywood studios lately have been offering emerging artists a chance to feature their artwork inspired by movies such as the most recent Snow White and the Huntsman Emerging Artist Contest. Now The Weinstein Company and Red Bull North America have partnered for a DJANGO UNCHAINED Emerging Artist Contest with the winner being hand-picked by the film's director Quentin Tarantino and his team. The contest which began on June 1st tasks artists to "inspire" Tarantino with their own works using multi-media in a three-minute piece using footage from either the official DJANGO UNCHAINED Trailer, or from one of three of Quentin Tarantino’s favorite spaghetti westerns that inspired the creation of Django Unchained. Included in these are: (DJANGO, Sergio Corbucci (1966), THE GRAND DUEL, Giancarlo Santi (1972) and DAY OF ANGER, Tonino Valerii (1967). The teaser trailer premiered at Cannes to good reactions and word is the DJANGO UNCHAINED preview will premiere in the U.S. ahead of Prometheus' this weekend.Participants will also have access to musical tracks from bands signed with Red Bull Records such as AWOLNATION, Twin Atlantic, and Innerpartysystem to include in their three-minute piece. Those emerging artist wanting to enter the DJANGO UNCHAINED must register at www.Redbullusa.com/django. The site will also sponsor exclusive Quentin Tarantino content June 15 as well as an interview with the DJANGO UNCHAINED director talking about his inspiration for the pre-Civil War western starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Jamie Foxx, Samuel L. Jackson, Kerry Washington, Christopher Waltz and Don Johnson.
The lucky winner chosen by Tarantino and his team will meet the director at Comic Con in San Diego this July. Production for DJANGO UNCHAINED is set to be completed around that time. The runner up won't get a chance to meet the famous filmmaker, but will walk away with prizes including DJANGO UNCHAINED memorabilia and a Red Bull Fan Pick prize.
