William Shatner Takes On Old Foe Lizard Alien For STAR TREK: THE VIDEO GAME

Who doesn’t remember the fight between Captain Kirk and Gorn, the lizard-like alien in the original Star Trek series. Four decades after their first encounter, William Shatner and Gorn reunite for a new kind of stand-off.
The original Kirk-Gorn duel was seen in the classic 1967 “Arena” episode of the STAR TREK series when the two first squared off on an isolated desert planet. The two foes came together for some couch potato time to face off against each other for the STAR TREK: THE VIDEO GAME. Watch videos below.
In a promotional video, which premiered on Yahoo Movies, features William Shatner and Gorn playing the new video game when a fight erupts between both aging stars as they re-enact their famous fight blow-for-blow. This time William Shatner and Gorn take to pillow fights instead of throwing space rocks. Like in the classic fight Star Trek fight scene, the cheesy lizard costume returns for the new showdown on the couch with his old nemesis.
The stunt is part of a promotion for the new video game for Star Trek. In the video game, the classic scene is modernized with a scarier lizard-like alien taking on both Kirk and Spock. Players choose to take on the roles of the new Captain Kirk in the image of Chris Pine or Zachary Quinto's Spock as they fight an army led by Gorn. STAR TREK: THE VIDEO GAME will be available for Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC starting April 23, 2013.
