With big names such as Cavill, Willis (Red, Die Hard franchise, and Weaver (Avatar, Alien series), it's surprising THE COLD LIGHT OF DAY is getting a small release by Summit Entertainment. One thing comes to mind - the film is probably not that good. The action thriller directed by first-time action film director Mabrouk El Mechri is being compared to a lesser version of Taken (Liam Neeson). The release date for THE COLD LIGHT OF DAY was originally scheduled for April 6, but then moved to the slowest movie month of the year - September 7.
Will Shaw (Cavill) goes to Spain for a weeklong sailing vacation with his family but his whole world turns upside down when the family is kidnapped by intelligence agents hell-bent on recovering a mysterious briefcase and Will suddenly finds himself on the run.
