'Hunger Games' Bonus Features Clip: Jennifer Lawrence Freaks Out On Set

THE HUNGER GAMES bonus clip released at Comic Con features a behind the scenes look at Jennifer Lawrence's run through the wall of fire on set. The flames are real in the HUNGER GAMES movie and enhanced partially through CGI. Jennifer Lawrence plays the heroine Katniss and the actress experiences a bit of a freak out when they test the fire while she's on the sidelines on set. At one point, director Gary Ross tells her that's what she signed up. The clip also features Lawrence in an interview talking about her experience shooting the intense scene which puts her in harms way.

The trailer shows other extended clips and touts the three hours of extensive bonus materials including the eight-part documentary, “The World is Watching: Making of The Hunger Games.”

Lionsgate is hoping to extend the fan frenzy to the DVD and Blu-ray release with a midnight release at 12:01 A.M. on Saturday, August 18 for retail events nationwide. Typically, DVD and Blu-rays are released on Tuesdays, but the film featuring Academy Award® nominee Jennifer Lawrence (Winter’s Bone), Liam Hemsworth (The Expendables 2), Josh Hutcherson (The Kids Are All Right), Academy Award® nominee Stanley Tucci (The Lovely Bones), Academy Award® nominee Woody Harrelson (The People vs. Larry Flynt), Lenny Kravitz (Precious) and Emmy® nominee Elizabeth Banks (TV’s “30 Rock”) will celebrate the release with fans lining up to be the first ones to own the first movie in the trilogy based on the New York Times best-selling novel from writer Suzanne Collins.
