'Rebecca' Movie Review: Armie Hammer and Lily James' Chemistry Is Off The Charts

Based on the 1938 gothic novel by Daphne du Maurier, director Ben Wheatley brings the book to life for the big screen with Armie Hammer and Lily James. However the director has a tall order to fill since Alfred Hitchcock tackled the adaptation with Laurence Olivier and Joan Fontaine in 1940 which led to 10 Academy Award nominations and three wins for Best Picture, Best Cinematography, and Best Actor for Olivier. Luckily I am not familiar with either the book or original adaptation, so this viewer will judge the new Netflix movie on its own merit.

Yang is phenomenal in capturing the hardships of overcoming your insecurities and sticking to something you're passionate about no matter the profession.

The failures of the United States federal government to contain COVID-19 is well-documented in the media but a new documentary, TOTALLY UNDER CONTROL tracks the rise of the deadly virus in broader terms. From Academy Award-winning director Alex Gibney with Suzanne Hillinger and Ophelia Harutyunyan, the documentary was filmed in secrecy for the past five months in order to get on record insider information revealing details behind the failed response. TOTALLY UNDER CONTROL compares South Korea's response in contrast to the United States which makes for a riveting watch.

As show finales goes, “The Boys” season 2 finale is one of the best in television history. Episode 8 titled “What I Know” was jam-packed with twists, turns and action. The highly satisfying end to season 2 was also full of zingers and indirect digs at the perpetrators of the current racial divide. Below is a run down of the show with spoilers including two deaths, one resurrection and a happy ending for some.

PADRE NO HAY MÁS QUE UNO stars Santiago Segura as a husband and father of five who encourages his wife to take a vacation away from the family. He assures her he can handle the children along with his 9 to 5. When he gets in over his head, hilarity ensues.
