Series and Movie Reviews
Warner Bros. and DC should forget the live action franchise movies, and release LEGO movies based on DC superheroes every year. THE LEGO BATMAN MOVIE is so much fun, irreverent and a must-see for all ages.

When we say LONDON HAS FALLEN is a good film, we’re not talking about an Oscar-worthy film, but a what a popcorn flick should be. Here are three reasons why the Gerard Butler starrer is more enjoyable than the original and why it's a guilty pleasure.
Add a commentA wild premise and outlandish action stunts equals ridiculous fun at the movies with ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER. In the hands of any other director, VAMPIRE HUNTER could've been a mess, but Timur Bekmambetov pulled off a very entertaining movie that requires the viewer to suspend belief in a big way.
Add a commentAfter the horrendously bad Men in Black 2, the third film in the franchise redeems itself by returning to the basics of what made the original film entertaining.
Add a commentIt’s a familiar set-up that instantly sends both the horror connoisseur and averse newcomer into fits of eye-rolls: a virgin, a jock, a brain, a beauty and a stoner traipse into an isolated cottage for a weekend of free-fall debauchery before facing their imminent doom. But Joss Whedon and Drew Goddard’s “The Cabin in the Woods”, a rare genre offering that relies on the horror audience’s oft-ignored ability to both scrutinize and squirm, isn’t interested in delivering familiars.
Add a commentRISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES is a powerful movie. As someone who was raised with the Ape’s franchise I do not make this statement lightly. I hold this film to a very high standard and although there are a few things that I found fault with there is one scene that is so electric that the hair on my arms literally stood up. On this basis alone I recommend this film.
Add a commentBELLFLOWER is the story of a really bad break-up. If you take immaturity, alcohol and add a flamethrower, bad things are going to happen. Written, directed and starring Evan Glodell, this indiefilm is the apocalyptic tale of a relationship gone wrong. Completely made in true Indie fashion, BELLFLOWER was picked up for distribution at the Sundance Film Festival. It is a unique, self-styled love story with a take all its own. Like a car wreck it is hard to look away.
Add a commentWho doesn't want to see James Bond and Indiana Jones in a western stand-off with aliens? Jon Favreau's COWBOYS & ALIENS has a little something for everyone and it's not a sequel or superhero adaptation, so it's already off to a good start.
