The 355 movie review

How can you not like a movie that stars Jessica Chastain, Lupita N'yongo, Diane Kruger, Penelope Cruz, Sebastian Stan and Edgar Ramirez? The cast alone in THE 355 are all outstanding actors so teaming them up together can only make for a good time as they kick ass. The fight scenes are all practical and realistic but the action is far from slick.

 Best Films of 2021

While there were good films in 2021, there was a lack of groundbreaking movies to rave about. Unlike years past, films like A PROMISING YOUNG WOMAN, PARASITE or THE REVENANT were water-cooler talk. However, that is not to say I didn't enjoy a dozen films released this past year, and a handful of the worst projects.

The Killing of Kenneth Chamberlain movie review Frankie Faison

THE KILLING OF KENNETH CHAMBERLAIN is intense from start to finish. The movie is a recreation of the killing of an elderly man by police in 2011 when officers broke through his front door after he accidentally set off his medical alert. Frankie Faison turns in one of the best performances of 2021 in a movie that will evoke strong emotions.

Being the Ricardos Nicole Kidman Javier Bardem

Desi Arnaz’s notorious womanizing shrouded his legacy in a negative way compared to Lucille Ball but Aaron Sorkin’s BEING THE RICARDOS starring Nicole Kidman and Javier Bardem as the power couple brings to light how influential he was in Hollywood and how he single-handedly saved his I Love Lucy costar from being blacklisted in the 50s. Ghostbusters Afterlife movie review CineMovie

GHOSTBUSTERS: AFTERLIFE pays fan service but also introduces all-new elements that make it worthy of being part of the franchise with McKenna Grace bringing the heart and soul to the movie. Venom Let There Be Carnage Tom Hardy review

Tom Hardy returns as Eddie Brock along with his pal Venom for a bromance-filled plot lacking in action in the follow-up to 2018's VENOM. The main attraction is Hardy's hilarious and endearing performance in the buddy comedy, but on the superhero front VENOM: LET THERE BE CARNAGE doesn't live up to the title.
