Baseball great Jackie Robinson finally gets the Hollywood treatment with a new film about the legendary baseball player starring Harrison Ford and directed by Brian Helgeland. Watch a preview of the true story of an American legend in 42.
Chadwick Boseman ("The Express") plays Robinson, the first African-American baseball player in Major League Baseball. The title 42 refers to Robinson jersey number. The legendary baseball player broke the color barrier when he joined the roster of the Brooklyn Dodgers. Harrison Ford stars as the Dodger's general manager Branch Rickey, the MLB executive who first recruited Robinson to the minors.What tooks so long for the true story of an American legend to get to to the big screen? Hopefully a good script, and given the writer behind Mystic River, L.A. Confidential, and Man on Fire is behind the camera, we hope the true accout of Jackie Robinson's life hits it right out of the ballpark.
