Expect lots of brutal action from director Pierre Morel of TAKEN and PEPPERMINT in the new film, FREELANCE starring John Cena as an ex-special forces operative protecting journalist Alison Brie. The new preview is part comedy and action. Christian Slater also appears in the movie and this trailer.
Opening in movie theaters on October 6, the FREELANCE trailer is a mix bag with uneven tones with the characters fighting for their lives during a military coup with a stylish-looking dictator (Juan Pablo Raba) along for the ride.
Official Synopsis
An ex special forces operative stuck in a dead-end desk job (John Cena) reluctantly takes on a gig to provide private security for a washed-up journalist (Alison Brie) as she interviews a ruthless—but impeccably dressed—dictator (Juan Pablo Raba). When a military coup breaks out just as she's about to get the scoop of a lifetime, the unlikely trio must figure out how to survive the jungle, the assassins, and each other in order to make it out alive.
