VIDEO: Colin Farrell, Jessica Biel, and Kate Beckinsale on TOTAL RECALL

Total Recall cast at 2011 Comic Con

Colin Farrell, Jessica Biel, and Kate Beckinsale star in TOTAL RECALL, a remake of the Arnold Schwarzenegger's 1990 movie. The stars and director Len Wiseman (Underworld) appeared at 2011's Comic Con for a sneak peek at the action movie.

In the modern re-telling of Phillip K. Dick's short story, Mars is left out of the picture as Total Recall's action takes place in a futuristic society on Earth. Colin Farrell takes on the role of Douglas Quaid, a factory worker who begins to suspect he is a spy for the wrong side of a cause.  Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad), John Cho (Star Trek, Harold & Kumar), Bill Nighy (Pirates of the Caribbean) and Ethan Hawke (Training Day) also star alongside Colin Farrell, Jessica Biel and Kate Beckinsale (Underworld).

During the Comic Con panel discussion in Hall H, Colin Farrell said he only took the role because it was different than the original which he is a fan of. When he was describing his character in TOTAL RECALL, he referenced Schwarzenegger's career in acting and politics. He joked about playing an Austrian body builder who dreams of becoming an actor.

Kate Beckinsale and Jessica Biel discussed their fight scenes with each other and how apologetic they were after pulling hair and smacking each other in the face.

Kate Beckinsale's husband, director Len Wiseman said during the Comic Con panel that he was weary of taking on a popular action movie, but the script was so well-written, he couldn't pass it up.

TOTAL RECALL is set for release next summer on August 3, 2012.
