Lighting with Dory

Who doesn't love Pixar films, and now you can go behind the scenes in the making of animated films like FINDING DORY, TOY STORY, CARS, WALL-E and countless other Pixar films at the new Science Behind Pixar Exhibit at the California Science Center in Los Angeles. The new exhibit, now open, is loads of fun with activities that will keep the family entertained. Perhaps your little one will be inspired to become an animator or science wiz behind the art of animation.

Going beyond the drawing stage, the Science Behind Pixar lets visitors see how animation incorporates science, technology, engineering, and math to create a scene from moving the character, lighting a scene, the use of sets and cameras, set design and so much more. Adults and children can play with controls that demonstrates each phase of the process. There are 40 interactive exhibit elements so if you try your hand at all of them, you'll be ready for a career in animation.

Children and adults will be busy taking selfies and photos with your favorite Pixar characters like Buzz Lightyear, Wall-E, Dory and other life size models. The exhibit isn't very big, but the activities are enough to keep you busy for a few hours if you partake in every demo in the two dedicated rooms at the California Science Center in Los Angeles.
