The ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER green trailer premiered over the Memorial Weekend and it was announced the vampire hunter himself will be making a presidential stop aboard the Navy aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln in June.
Hollywood loves publicity stunts and this one sounds like lots of fun. Actor Benjamin Walker, who plays the 16th U.S. president and undercover vampire hunter in the Timur Bekmambetov movie, will be present along with co-stars and director for a special screening of the 20th Century Fox summer movie on a naval carrier appropriately named the USS Abraham Lincoln. In addition to Benjamin, Anthony Mackie, Erin Wasson, director Timur Bekmambetov, screenwriter Seth Grahame-Smith and producer Jim Lemley will make the trip out to sea to introduce the horror action thriller to soldiers.
In addition to the special screening of ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER, the cast and filmmakers will distribute to thousands of soldiers on the carrier Lincoln top hats, special graphic novels conceived by Bekmambetov, and movie tie-in edition books, and fang tools that will help soldiers decide whether they are patriots or vampires.
The cast and filmmakers will screen the film at two additional bases at undisclosed locations.
ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER is in movie theaters June 22, 2012.
