CineMovie got a behind the scenes look at Halloween Horror Nights and creation of the zombies and monsters for the Universal Studios Hollywood attractions. Take a look at some of the monsters you’ll be seeing at this year’s all-new Hallowee spook fest with creative director, John Murdy.
This year, Hollywood Horror Nights boasts mazes and attractions such as El Cucuy, a Black Sabbath-inspired maze along with other scare zones based on horror flicks and television shows. Insidious Chapter 2, The Walking Dead, Evil Dead, The Purge, Curse of Chucky among countless others.John Murdy talks to CineMovie about his excitement of working with his childhood idols Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne for the Black Sabbath 3D maze. Murdy has worked with the likes of Alice Cooper, Guillermo Del Toro and Rob Zombie, but meeting the Black Sabbath members proved the most surreal.
Murdy also gives us a sneak peek at the El Cucuy attraction narrated by Danny Trejo and what other terrors await fans at this year’s Halloween Horror Nights when it opens September 20th.
