Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, Jon Hamm, and Chris O'Dowd make appearances in the comedy written and directed by Jon Hamm's real-life girlfriend Jennifer Westfeldt, best known for her indie break-out film Kissing Jessica Stein. In FRIENDS WITH KIDS, Jennifer's character Julie makes a pact with her single friend Jason (Adam Scott) to have a child together without getting involved romantically. They're hoping to avoid the problems that come with rearing children as a couple. Jon Hamm and Kristen Wiig play a happy married couple this time around.
While it may sound like your conventional rom-com, Jennifer Westfeldt is known for her quirky storytelling and unique sensibility which she might turn this genre on its head.
Megan Fox and Edward Burns also star in FRIENDS WITH KIDS.
FRIENDS WITH KIDS is in limited release in movie theatres March 9, 2012.
