Sandra Bullock, George Clooney and space are the stars of the upcoming Alfonso Cuarón movie, GRAVITY. Watch two new intense previews of the new thriller that takes place entirely in space.
See what happens when you don't listen to George Clooney. In the new trailer for GRAVITY, Sandra Bullock and George Clooney play astronauts on a mission in deep space when their shuttle is bombarded by debris. After Clooney's character warns of imminent danger, the brave (or depending how you see it) Sandra Bullock stays on for a few more moments which proves foolish. The shuttle arm detaches, sending her into deep space. The two-minute clip promises a heart-pounding thriller that begs the question; how long can you stay in space before your oxygen runs out? Probably enough for a two hour movie.
The second clip is an eerie one with Sandra Bullock's Doctor Ryan Stone calling on Houston control while drifting through space in a dizzying preview that's sure to make your head spin.
It's about time the two Academy Award® winners (Sandra Bullock, George Clooney) star in a movie together. The pairing makes for an interesting story on top of the lost in space plot.
GRAVITY launches into theaters October 4, 2013 in 3D, 2D and IMAX®.
Official Synopsis:
Academy Award® winners Sandra Bullock (“The Blind Side”) and George Clooney (“Syriana”) star in “Gravity,” a heart-pounding thriller that pulls you into the infinite and unforgiving realm of deep space. The film was directed by Oscar® nominee Alfonso Cuarón (“Children of Men”).
Bullock plays Dr. Ryan Stone, a brilliant engineer on her first shuttle mission, with veteran astronaut Matt Kowalski (Clooney). But on a seemingly routine spacewalk, disaster strikes. The shuttle is destroyed, leaving Stone and Kowalski completely alone—tethered to nothing but each other and spiraling out into the blackness.
The deafening silence tells them they have lost any link to Earth…and any chance for rescue. As fear turns to panic, every gulp of air eats away at what little oxygen is left.
But the only way home may be to go further out into the terrifying expanse of space.
