Pixar's First 3D Blu-ray Hits Home Theaters With CARS 2

Disney•Pixar’s CARS 2 comes home on Blu-ray 3D for the first time in Pixar history on November 11, 2011. The animated comedy-adventure will also be available in a 11-Disc 3-Movie Blu-ray Combo Pack “Collector Set” with exclusive bonus features and short films.

Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment will be releasing CARS 2 DVD and Blu-ray with the delightful Toy Story short film "Hawaiian Vacation" starring Pixar favorites Woody and Buzz that screened before CARS 2 in movie theaters and all-new short featuring Tow Mater in "Air Mater."  Another feature offered is one-of-a-kind interactive “World Tour” map that takes viewers through nine different locations, including those featured in the film and more. A global thrill-ride, it allows viewers to go behind-the-scenes with the Pixar artists and filmmakers as they circle
the globe finding inspiration for the most international of all Pixar films to date.

The DVD/Blu-Ray will also feature the Latin American Spanish version of the film starring the voices of popular Mexican actors Kuno Becker (“Lightning McQueen”), Cesar Bono (“Mater”) and Ana Seradilla ("Holly Shiftwell"); Mexican professional race car driver Memo Rojas ("Jeff Gorvette"); and Mexican rock band Moderatto (music and voices of Otis, Alexander Hugo, Vladimir, Pacer and Auto Secuaz), which recorded the Spanish versión of the film’s theme song “You Might Think” and have also recorded a cover of the popular 80’s song  “Autos, Moda y Rock & Roll”.

The film was directed by John Lasseter and features the voice talents of Owen Wilson (“Little Fockers”), Michael Caine (“Gnomeo & Juliet”), Emily Mortimer (“Shutter Island”), Bonnie Hunt ("The Bonnie Hunt Show”), Tony Shalhoub (“Monk”), Cheech Marin (“Race To Witch Mountain”), Jason Isaacs (“Green Zone”), and Joe Mantegna (“Criminal Minds”), among others.

The film has earned more than $550 million to date at the domestic and international box office, making it the 16th highest-grossing animated film in global cinematic history.
