Johnny Depp and Kermit at Pirates of the Caribbean Movie Premiere

Forget Mickey Mouse. Kermit the Frog went to Disneyland on a special assignment to interview Johnny Depp and Penelople Cruz for their black carpet premiere of the PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: ON STRANGER TIDES on Saturday.

The Muppets star chatted with Pirates of the Caribbean stars Johnny Depp, Penelope Cruz, Geoffrey Rush, Ian McShane, Keith Richards, director Rob Marshall and producer Jerry Bruckheimer (Transformers movies) on his Kermit-cam.  Kermit even dressed up as Captain Jack Sparrow and impressed Depp who couldn't resist touching the frog's dreads.

Some of the celebrity guests at Disneyland included Black Eyed Peas' Taboo, Steven Tyler, Dancing with the Stars' Bruno Toniolo and Kirstie Alley.  The little green frog got lucky with some smooches from Vanessa Hudgens, Penelope Cruz, and Kirstie Alley.

Kermit and the gang return to the big screen in Jason Segal's reboot of The Muppets November 23, 2011, starring a slew of talent including Amy Adams, Emily Blunt, Selena Gomez, Danny Trejo, Neil Patrick Harris, Jack Black, Ricky Gervais, and many more. 

PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: ON STRANGER TIDES is in movie theaters May 20, 2011.
