Avengers Cast & Exclusive Footage At D23 Expo

Disney chairman Rich Ross introduced Kevin Feige of Marvel Studios. Kevin revealed the Joss Whedon helmed AVENGERS has two more weeks of production in Ohio and then showed a five-minute clip showing Loki (Tom Hiddleston) being locked up in a glass cage by Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) as the Avengers watch from another room via a camera. Nick Fury tells Loki the enclosement was made for someone stronger. After the clip, a montage of images whipped acrossed the screen including a fight scene between Thor and Captain America and interaction between Tony Stark (Downey, Jr.) and Loki consistent with Iron Man humor. Tony explains to Loki that's he managed to "piss off" every person he shouldn't be making angry. Loki replies:
Loki: We have an army.
Tony: We have the Hulk.
Then a ferocious Hulk appears on screen for a second. The exclusive footage sent the fans in a frenzy, but then Kevin Feige announced some special guests. Kevin introduced some of the cast of AVENGERS. Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye, Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Tom Hiddleston, and Cobie Smulders (Maria Hill) came on stage for a quick wave to the D23 Expo fans. Robert Downey Jr. spoke for the group saying he was glad to be in Anaheim visiting the parents and asked to play the footage again which they didn't see while waiting backstage. Missing were Samuel L. Jackson, Mark Ruffalo and Chris Evans who were currently shooting in Ohio.
