New Short Film 'I Fcking Hate You!' to Premiere at LALIFF 2025

New short film, I Fcking Hate You

The Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival (LALIFF) is set to showcase the powerful new short film I Fcking Hate You!* on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at 7:45 PM at the historic Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood. Directed by Gabriela Paciel and produced by Juliana Betancourth and Sofía Rovaletti of FRACTORY LLC, the film delves into the complexities of family dynamics, grief, and reconciliation.

I Fcking Hate You!* follows Michelle and David as they journey to Michelle’s wedding. When a flat tire leaves them stranded in the desert, unresolved tensions surface, leading to a raw confrontation in an abandoned house. The film explores themes of loss, anger, and the struggle to heal, offering a candid portrayal of familial relationships.

The film was developed as part of the LFI Inclusion Fellowship, a program aimed at empowering emerging Latino filmmakers. Supported by Netflix's Fund for Creative Equity, the fellowship provides resources and mentorship to creators, fostering diverse voices in the industry.Los Angeles Times
