PUSS IN BOOTS Hollywood Premiere (Video)

Antonio Banderas and Puss In Boots sing-along at Hollywood premiere

PUSS IN BOOTS stars Antonio Banderas, Salma Hayek, Zach Galifianakis, Billy Bob Thornton, Amy Sedaris, and Constance Marie turned out for the hot Los Angeles premiere PUSS IN BOOTS Sunday.

Held at the Village Theater in West Los Angeles, the voices of the Dreamworks 3D animated film and their guests walked down a plush ivory carpet decorated with scenery from the movie and the characters. Salma and Antonio's on-screen characters Puss in Boots and Kitty Softpaws were also in attendance posing for the photographers. Antonio signed autographs for the waiting kids at the premiere. CineMovie spoke with the stars of the film as they braved the unseasonally hot sun Sunday morning except for Zach (voice of Humpty Dumpty) who skipped the last of the press line for a much cooler spot inside the movie theatre.

Salma Hayek brought along her adorable four-year old daughter, who walked along the ivory carpet with a friend. Salma told CineMovie (see video) her daughter had already seen the movie, but she was seeing it in 3D for the first time that day, and couldn't contain her excitement. CineMovie also caught up with Antonio Banderas who said he was excited and honored to be at the premiere with a cat that has been near and dear to him for the last ten years. We also noticed Antonio's walk in real-life is exactly the same stance of Puss in Boots. Antonio said the animators actually did rip-off his walk by filming him in his natural walk which they animated to the outlaw feline.

PUSS IN BOOTS' Jack and Jill voiced by Billy Bob Thornton and Amy Sedaris each praised each other's work on the film and said they enjoyed all the characters on screen.  Billy Bob told us he had fun making the film, but thoroughly enjoyed the pairing of Antonio and Salma as the dueling kitties. Amy agreed, and added Zach as the Humpty Dumpty was quite memorable.

Other guests included from the film Constance Marie ("George Lopez Show") and the film's director Chris Miller. Disney Channel and Nickelodeon stars were also out as well as Vivica A. Fox.

PUSS IN BOOTS opens in movie theatres October 28, 2011.
