Tom Cruise's TOP GUN sequel is set to become 2023's highest-grossing film with more than $1.48 billion at the worldwide box office. TOP GUN: MAVERICK premiered on Paramount's streaming service, Paramount+ over the holidays and again broke records as the film broke more records. Disney is bringing a show-stopping concert event to the Hollywood Bowl featuring the music from Disney's ENCANTO with the original cast (Stephanie Beatriz, Diane Guerrera) and guest stars like Lin-Manuel Miranda, Carlos Vives and Andrés Cepeda. The Madrigal casita will be recreated on stage for "ENCANTO At The Hollywood Bowl which will be available to stream on Disney+ on December 28.

A fourth installment in the PLANET OF THE APES reboot is coming our way with KINGDOM OF THE PLANET OF THE APES starting production in October. Matt Reeves (THE BATMAN) will not return so THE MAZE RUNNER trilogy director Wes Ball will helm the new 20th Century Studios movie. The announcement reveals that the storyline will flash forward with a timeline closer to the world we first met in the original 1968 film. Concept art was also released that sees the fall of man complete.

Turns out Hugh Jackman isn't hanging up to his claws as Wolverine as he had promised after the X-MEN died in LOGAN (2017). Ryan Reynolds released a video announcing a third DEADPOOL movie is in the works with Reynolds' real-life pal joining the cast as Logan. In Reynolds' fashion, the actor delivers the message in a quirky video with a Jackman cameo in addition to introducing a new logo with Wolverine's trademark.

The Predator prequel PREY was Hulu's biggest premiere in its streaming history this past weekend. The 20th Century Studios action thriller was the most watched premiere to date including all film and television series. Internationally, PREY also debut as the highest-watched movie in the first three days on Star+ and Disney+.

Production has wrapped on Tilman Singer’s CUCKOO starring Euphoria's Hunter Schafer, Dan Stevens and Jessica Henwick. Filmed in Germany, the horror movie is written and directed by Singer on 35mm. Read the Neon press release below.

HBO Max's BATGIRL movie has begun production with Leslie Grace as the DC character. Director Adil El Arbi announced the news on his Instagram account with an image of the slate above the desk of Barbara Gordon. It also reveals the new DCEU movie will be shot in 60 FPS for the streaming service.

Eva Longoria's feature film directorial debut, FLAMIN' HOT wrapped production in New Mexico last week. The film is based on Richard Montañez's rise from janitor to a marketing executive at Frito-Lay company and helped turn the Flamin' Hot Cheetos into a global phenomenon. BLACK WIDOW earned the highest domestic box office since the pandemic began with an outstanding $80 million in revenue. Disney also released figures for the first time for Disney+ Premiere Access since it took in an impressive $60 million. With an international take of $78 million, the global sum was $215 million for the Marvel film. The gamble to delay the release from last year paid off.

Sony Pictures' past and future Marvel films like the SPIDER-MAN franchise and other popular titles are headed to Disney properties such as Disney+ and Hulu after their theatrical and pay tv windows. Sony's theatrical releases from 2022 to 2026 are included in the deal that signifies that Sony Pictures Entertainment are not following in other studios' footsteps in starting their own streaming service.

Dwayne Johnson announced Sunday BLACK ADAM will arrive summer of 2022 while Lionsgate's THE HITMAN'S WIFE'S BODYGUARD will hit the big screen this summer.

Amazon Studios announced Aaron Sorkin’s drama BEING THE RICARDOS has begun principle photography with Nicole Kidman and Javier Bardem playing television's iconic couple. Kidman will play I Love Lucy's beloved red-head and Bardem the Cuban band leader with J.K.
