The STAR WARS EPISODE IX trailer which was screened for the D23 Expo audience has been released. The new STAR WARS: THE RISE OF SKYWALKER preview ended with a shocking twist. Rey with glowing yellow eyes, appears wearing a Sith cloak when she whips out a double-sided red lightsaber. Is this a dream sequence, has she been possessed by Emperor Palpatine or does she indeed turn to the dark side?

Disney Plus D23 Expo 2019 Friday Recap

On Friday at the D23 Expo from the Anaheim Convention Center, Disney unveiled all of their original slates from all of their divisions including Marvel, Pixar and the Disney Channel for their new streaming service, Disney+. Diego Luna, Ewan McGregor, Pedro Pascal, Kristen Bell, Hilary Duff, Sebatian Stan, Anthony Mackie, and other talent made appearances at the Expo to the delight of the 6,000 plus auditorium. Lucasfilm's Kathleen Kennedy announced some exciting news for STAR WARS fans at the D23 Expo. Ewan McGregor is indeed reprising his role of Obi-Wan Kenobi for Disney+. The series is set to shoot next year in London, and the scripts have been completed. In other news, Diego Luna and Alan Tudyk visited D23 to tease their prequel in the Cassian and K2SO, which begins shooting next year. SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME has surpassed all expectations to become Sony Pictures highest-grossing film ever in its 95-year history. Thanks Marvel. There's no doubt AVENGERS: ENDGAME contributed to the boost with the latest Spider-man movie being sort of a follow-up to the fallout of the last AVENGERS film. The film has earned over a billion dollars worldwide, and Sony plans to add to that sum by re-releasing the film Labor Day weekend with four additional never-before-seen minutes in an action sequence.
