Michael B. Jordan curates a summer screening program called “A Night at the Drive-In” with double-features that reflect multi-cultural voices such as BLACK PANTHER, SPIDER-MAN: INTO THE SPIDER-VERSE, GIRLS TRIP and others. Jordan's Outlier Society partnered with Amazon Studios and Prime Video at no cost to attendees, and also to support black businesses.
Warner Bros. announced Monday their movie JUST MERCY will be available on all platforms for the month of June as part of the discussion around systemic racism and the black lives matter movement. The movie starring Michael B. Jordan, Jamie Foxx and Brie Larson is based on the true story of a wrongly accused black man on death row who was later acquitted thanks to activist lawyer Bryan Stevenson. JUST MERCY is a compelling film that should anger everyone over the social inustice the judicial system enacts on black men too often.
UPDATE: Zack and Deborah Synder told the Hollywood Reporter the new cut may be a four-movie or cut into episodes for the new streaming service. HR also has sources claiming Warner Bros. is budgeting $20 to $30 million for post production which sounds like it needs a bit of work which explains the 2021 release.
Since the 2017 release of DC's JUSTICE LEAGUE, fans and cast members have been campaigning for Warner Bros. to release the Zack Synder cut of JUSTICE LEAGUE, and it seems to have paid off with Synder's version coming to HBO Max in 2021.

Disney and Lucasfilm announced on May the 4th day a new film is in the works with Taika Waititi (THOR: RAGNAROK, JOJO RABBIT) directing and co-writing as well as a STAR WARS series with Emmy®-nominated writer Leslye Headland developing. The Walt Disney Studios released new dates for just some of their films but not all. There's no doubt AVENGERS: ENDGAME contributed to the boost with the latest Spider-man movie being sort of a follow-up to the fallout of the last AVENGERS film. The film has earned over a billion dollars worldwide, and Sony plans to add to that sum by re-releasing the film Labor Day weekend with four additional never-before-seen minutes in an action sequence.
